A-Levels Courses

• Alpha College is a private college in London which offers A Level courses in 4 different formats:
  
  • 2 years
  • 18 month
  • 1 year (intensive)
  • Retake courses
  
  All of these 4 formats provide a wide range of subject choices. Students may enroll in any of the above course length, depending upon their aptitude and progress. The next start for 2 years, 18 months and 1 Year Courses will be in September 2012. Our flexibility in course length is reflective of the college's attitude to catering for the individual student's personal needs. Alpha college believes in supportive and friendly environment between students and college which helps in boosting up students’ confidence and personality

• 2 years A-Level
  A-level courses normally take between three and six terms to complete. The choice of subjects is an important decision, depending upon a variety of factors including aptitude, interest, skills required and previous examination performance
  
  Students can apply to Alpha College for a traditional September start succeeded by a two-year course, this route is the most popular choice for many students.
  
  The two-year A Level course starting in September is the most traditional route into any of the UK’s universities. This programme is therefore ideal for students who have completed GCSEs. Normally students take four AS Level subjects in the first year and reduce this to three A levels in year two. Students with exceptional AS Level results are encouraged to continue with four A2 subjects in the second year.
  
  Subject material is taught at a pace which is manageable by all the students in the class which gives them the opportunity to study in greater depth enabling students to gradually build confidence. An overview of the material to provide an initial framework is followed by a more thorough analysis, with extensive practice in examination-style answers. A final review of subject material allows students to focus on the entire syllabus and helps them to organise their revision during the final weeks before the examination.
  
  18-month A-Level course
  The 18-month A Level course starting in September is aimed at students who have achieved a very high standard in their high school grades and do not require any English language support. Students study 3 or 4 AS subjects from September to January and then continue with A2 in the second year; January to December.
  
  1 year A-Level
  The one year A-level course at Alpha College covers the entire AS and A2 syllabus in one year. It is ideal for students who have not achieved their desired grades at AS level and want to retake their AS levels in January and then take their A2s in June. These courses are extremely intensive, more focused towards exam practice and examination success.
